Simeco, which has long been involved in projects for the energy transition, inform to have completed, on assignment by HYBLA Consortium (Augusta petrochemical hub – Sicily), the feasibility study for the production of Green Hydrogen and decarbonised Syngas through the installation of two electrolysis lines for water and carbon dioxide for the production of hydrogen and carbon monoxide respectively.

The facility will also include a carbon dioxide capture system.

The new plant units, which will be installed in the Augusta petrochemical hub, will be powered by completely renewable electricity.
