LNG
Since 2010 SIMECO provides qualified Owner’s Engineer services to Transmediterranean Pipeline Company (TMPC) and to URS Italia for Adriatic LNG, the Liquid Natural Gas Re-gasification Offshore Terminal in the Adriatic Sea.
RENEWABLE ENERGIES
In 2006 SIMECO started its activity in Power Plants design, getting two engineering contracts from Maire Tecnimont, for a 370 MWe coal fired power station in Chile and for a 17 MWe biomass fired power plant in Italy. Since then SIMECO has further developed its technical skills and know-how on power plant design obtaining long term framework agreements by Enipower – the third largest 3 operator in power generation in Italy – for engineering and supervision services to all company power plants, including photovoltaic activities.
MARINE FACILITIES
For the same purpose SIMECO purchased a participation in Process & Technologies (PnT), a small firm specializing in chemical and petrochemical process engineering and consulting.
OFFSHORE PLATFORMS
In 2002 SIMECO was awarded by Eni a new long term framework agreement to supply basic design and front end engineering design for oil & gas upstream facilities, refineries, offshore platforms and gas treatment and underground gas storage plants. In order to accomplish these projects SIMECO invested in new resources and process simulation software tools. These investments extended the Company process department capabilities, allowing to handle a wider range of technologies in the oil & gas field.
PIPELINES
In 2001 SIMECO Quality Management System was certified by Det Norske Veritas (DNV) for compliance to the Quality Management System Standard UNI EN ISO 9001.

In 1999 SIMECO acquired Inge Impianti, a small Company specialized in procurement services, i.e.: preparation of purchase orders & contract agreements; material expediting services; material inspection and testing services; coordination of shipping activity.
